F1 2026

"I think there's no point being open and honest in this meeting of our expectations"

I don't think he meant that! Or maybe it's all a smokescreen and the biggest sandbagging since the Western Front
All will be revealed soon enough !!!

The evolution of pit stops.

A short video - I don’t think we fully appreciate the genius of the modern day pit crew.

I can’t imagine Lawrence is very impressed with the way his millions have been spent.

Alsonso may as well retire as he is done.

Lance will never be an F1 driver as long as I have a hole in my bottom.

Unless this is the greatest ever sandbagging exercise by an F1 team I predict slim pickings for Aston this season.

I’m looking forward to the first sessions to see who is truly quick.

Regrettably I still think the Belgian will be right up there at the pointy end.

Its all in the public domain, hopefully sorted soon.
Then I hope to see them fly

Listened to the BBC F1 podcast earlier today and the Honda Aston Martin situation is bizarre.
Honda produced a championship winning engine in 2024, they then started to shutter operations down before coming back with Aston Martin, however the people who built the 2024 red bull engine all moved on (as youd expect when they were ceasing F1 operation) and for some reason havent been brought back to work on Astons Engine.
Alonso brought it up, wondering why the engine hasnt been built by the best people available (i.e the championship winning team) - basically thinking how can they produce such a poor engine - answer being, its been built by people who have no experience of F1 engines before.

Alonso, always in the right car at the wrong time.

My feelings for Aston are tempered by the fact we, the SMB F1 fans, have a connection to the team with you and your daughter as the conduit.

But I have little affection for Newey. I just can’t warm to the bloke.

Maybe it’s the Red Bull connection as I am known as not a Red Bull fan.

Their drivers, their team principal, their revolving drink.

Just not a fan.

The bairn has just chirped up (17 month) wanting to be in our bed and my back is killing so i've came downstairs and clicked on the practice is on soon. I'll probably end up watching it for a bit to see the general feel then forget about it. Not sure about watching anything else live over the weekend mind, at a music event tomorrow night and then i'll be knackered with the bairn to content with saturday to consider 4am starts.

Took 3 minutes for a car to stall after a practice start - 4am sunday will be chaos
Aston martin are a disaster
Alonso won’t run at all fp1 due to engine issues
Stroll has done one time lap, 30 seconds off the pace
