Danny Welbeck

No offence to them two, both having good seasons but dear me that’s some drop off. Kanes last chance this summer then think our chances of winning something going forward are slim.
He's 32 and getting better still. Pretty ridiculous to say it's his last chance.

He'll still be leading the line at the next Euros for starters.

International game is a bit slower, he’ll be fine.

That probably will be his last bite at the cherry, mind.
Like I say I hope that’s the case but once 32/33 hits then can drop off a cliff at any point. He’s never really relied on his pace though which is a big positive.

Suprised by how much hes retained his fitness away from injury this season. Usually misses atleast a month a season to injury but seems to have had a great run and no suprise its going to be his best goals scoring season

Lewandowski is 37 and still banging them in.

Kane could easily do the same

Did we ever get a chance to sign him permanently? Was great on loan but I don't seem to recall much about when it ended

Seems to be getting better at football in his mid 30s, haven't seen many players do that

I’d pick him for the England WC squad no question at all. I think he’s better than Watkins genuinely but either way we have so few striking options and he’s so good with his feet he’d be in my squad all day

He goes to the WC for me. Scores a good variation of goals and uses his experience to get into good areas. A very usefull option for us to have.

My point is how the hell does an injury 12 years ago impact on his form at the moment,
All player get injured,fact.
Check out Brian Robsons injury record ,yet he still managed a great career
Why didn't you communicate that then?
At no point did I say he'd been injured 12 years ago.
Your original post stated he was never injured. He unfortunately has had some serious injuries otherwise he would have imo retained his place in both the England Squad and at a Champions League club.
My understanding is that Arsenal released him because he couldn't retain his fitness. That's why he dropped to Watford, at what should have been the peak of his career, and is now at Brighton.
I just thought it was odd that someone would post 'never injured' about a player whose career has so obviously been adversely affected by injury.
I made no comment about his career being great or otherwise, other than to say injuries impacted on it. How else would you explain dropping out of the England squad and moving from Arsenal to Watford for a player of his quality?

Becoming the most popular man in the game. Always seems upbeat, bug booming smile, interviews really well and still playing well.

In answer to the original question Neil Redfearn and Chris Marsden.
