Jared Gillet

Said it for a long time that refs should be made to give interviews after every game to explain decisions at the end of the day the club’s have to out they’d be fined if not. Referees should be the same rule. But the result is that they’ll be protected and nothing said about anything. PGMOL should be sorting this out as the standard in the best league in the world is unreal
Surely they review amongst fellow referees after games, or at least between games. I don't see them being interviewed like a player/manager on sky right after the match.

The "push" should have sent his upper body forward, not his feet.
More unbalanced. I certainly didn't expect Gillet or VAR to give it . Especially after the penalty that was a stone waller. Lots of incidents he got wrong in truth. Probably the worst ref performance I've seen for a bit.

See I think the should be though IMO To explain certain decisions. Like I say nothing more is said about it again after the game and they move on to the next game. But I’d like to think they review things. Clearly it does nothing at all though

The tackle was low, it was reckless but it didn't meet the bar for a red imo. I think people would be fuming if that was given against us. I also couldn't clearly see the ball hit an arm for the goal, so can understand why it stood
The tackle was studs up and nowhere near the ball so red card and the ball hit his arm its clear to see

Maybe but from what I saw it wasn't that clear. Didn't see any deviation so have to give the goal. Imagine the uproar if that was brobbey or mayenda
How was it not clear you can see it hit his arm and then went in. It’s handball. You’re completely incorrect about no deviation so they have to give the goal, that isn’t the law

That would give them even more fame to go to their heads.

No - that is what is it was - a minimum amount of time to be played.
I mean technically correct but you might as well just stick 0 on the board and end it when it’s done. Before anyone get pedantic I know it’s a minimum so can go over and if he has 8.45 then it’s minimum because it might not reach 9. But where has 4/5 mins come from in the 8 added on

I thought that it hit his upper arm on the shoulder.
According to the rule - no handball.

I think Gillet is an arrogant t**t in his refereeing style. That penalty shout epitomises his approach, I think he's turned it down in a 'I'll show them' way. Problem yesterday is the dynamic between arrogant Gillet with his FIFA badge proudly on display and the VAR referee being much less experienced (he's SG1 so Championship Level). He was never gonna suggest a review to his much more senior colleague. I think the powers that be will genuinely be very unhappy with the Arrogant Aussie yesterday, I'll suggest we won't see him again this season, and probably for a while in the League. Be just our luck for the FA to appoint him for a Cup game at Wembley though!!!

I still don't know how we didn't get a penalty yesterday. I think the referee should have seen it but with VAR looking at various angles and still not giving it, that's an absolute joke.

I think the red card is a clear one aswell. It is endangering the opponent.

I'm not sure on the handball for their goal though. I don't think the cameras are good enough to give a conclusive answer. With that, it should be allowed due to the on field decision.
