Sheff Wed - financial issues

Fat Mike seems to be the only potential buyer who could do it quickly, as he already has O&D clearance. He won't pay anything like the £40m the consortium offered though. For context, we were valued at around that when KLD bought in, and our infrastructure and playing staff probably higher quality.

Wrexham could be at risk one day. If the money dries up and they keep relying on revenue from the USA, the situation could change quickly. If American interest fades and the investment stops, the club could end up in financial trouble or even debt

They are already in a massive amount of debt aren’t they? Granted it’s to the Hollywood boyos but they aren’t their for the love of the Welsh, once they get promoted more will be sold an they’ll be the face for X amount of years until they become another Reading. Hartlepool fans probably would still wish they bought them when they were sniffing around though.

Re: infrastructure isn't there an issue with a stand at Hillsborough that needs an urgent fix, or am I mixing them up with someone else?

No, you aren't wrong. The stand to your left as you look from the away end is partly condemned. In reality, the whole ground is decades overdue a refurb or replacement. The Leppings Lane end is still as potentially dangerous as it was forty years ago.

I have a lot of time for Sheffield Wednesday and its supporters. I drove past the ground today. It’s a run down shit tip that literally stands on a mud bank in places. It should have been completely rebuilt after the Hillsborough disaster. It’s an insult that it wasn’t.
The whole club needs a massive reset and rebuild
