Arteta

I hope he ends up in the EFC dugout at some stage, preferably taking over from Moyes end of this season or next one.

Think he's a decent manager meself.

He always seems so tightly wound up
Very intense, almost OCD. Never hair out of place and immaculately turned out. I suspect he is still very very fit and weighs only a pound or so more than at height of his playing days.
It takes all sorts

Am no fan of Arteta but do we really want the state funded Man City to win it yet again?
Pretty unlikely but would be great if Villa could get themselves back into contention and go on to win the league. City are a vile institution from top to bottom and the way that Arsenal handled the whole Thomas Partey situation paints them in a dreadful light as well.

I don’t know what it is with Arsenal.
I get they don’t like getting beat it hurts the top sides more that’s one of the reasons why they’re top sides.
However they seem to show an absolute outrage when teams like little Wolverhampton Wanderers don’t roll over and actually fight back.
Real Madrid have the same mentality after a bad result they always seem to have a ruck at the end.

What did Arsenal do and what should they have done? Just had to google Partey to see what you are talking about.

Would be a bottle job on par with the Mags in 95/96 if they blow this.

They really should have the title sewn up by now but the way in which Arteta has them set up to play has given a (relatively) average Man City side real belief that they can win the league.

I’ve disliked him for ages because of his whining during and after games, but in the last month or so he’s actually come across quite well in his post match interviews, accepting responsibility and not looking to blame everyone else but himself and the players.

Mind he’s still a Fanny on the touch line and still won’t praise the opposition so still a bit to go before I’ll stop thinking of him as a bit of a soppy tart.

It's nowhere near the mags bottle job IMO. The mags were 12 points ahead after 23 games yet still ended up 4 points behind Man United so lost 16 points over 15 games on Man Utd. This is an edited part of my post from another thread showing it's the media making it seem more 'exciting' than it actually is if they'd played the same amount of games.

The reality is that after 27 & 28 games each, Arsenal had 61 points and Man City had 59, just 2 points difference. It's only the last 2 games that Man City drew and Arsenal won 2 that after 30 games the true gap was still only 6 points, Arsenal on 67 and Man City on 61. The most it's ever been is 7 points after 14 & 22 games and never 9.

Arsenal have played 13 games this year, W7 D4 L2 getting 22 points, Man City W5 D6 L1 with 21 points so even if Man City win tomorrow, Man City have made all of 2 points back on Arsenal in a 3rd of a season's worth of games.
