ID checks for away tickets

Evening all. Has anyone ever had a point removed when they attended the game? Son has had his Fulham point removed even tho we scanned it in and attended the game. Have asked on AskSAFC but any advice would be appreciated 👍🏼 Thanksi

Thanks for the help @tunstallhill @HORDEN SAFC & @MEEKLANGLEYFTM - after sending the message through on AskSAFC, the ticket office have responded this morning, apologised and re-added the point. 👍🏼

They've removed my Arsenal point but refusing to correct it as they are stating Arsenal's data show it wasn't scanned despite it letting me in!

I've sent them pictures taken from the seat in the ground but not sufficient evidence to give me the point apparently.
Spend a fortune to follow the team to get the points removed - frustrating.

That’s ridiculous like.

Not sure what they will do but I would go down and have a chat with one of the staff, the data from Arsenal obviously isn’t correct.

Yep, several emails back and forth but no joy - after initial 'unfortunately we cannot readd the point in this occasion' got a bit more back from them when I suggested it came across they were insinuating I was lying, but alas still a point short!

"We fully understand the commitment and cost involved in following the team away, especially for a ninth trip this season, and we do not question that dedication.

However, when there is a discrepancy of this nature, we are required to rely on the official attendance and scan data provided to us by Arsenal FC. The visiting club controls the stadium entry systems and provides the verified post-match reports, and we have to base any decisions on that official information.

In terms of what you can do going forward, unfortunately there isn’t a specific additional action we can formally recommend (such as rescanning or recording at the turnstile), as we would still ultimately be bound by the host club’s official scan report. That said, if you ever notice an issue at the turnstile — for example, if it doesn’t clearly confirm entry — we would advise raising it immediately with the nearest steward or ticket office on the day so it can be checked and logged there and then.

We completely appreciate how frustrating this situation is, particularly when you know you were present. While we must rely on the data supplied by the host club, please be assured this is not about questioning your honesty but about following the official reporting process we are governed by."

Who on earth can be bothered on a Matchday to see if it scans correctly if not go find someone to speak to? Long as that light goes green you go in and think nothing else of it. What a load of shite

Aye, that's an absolute disgrace to be honest.

If it lets you in then it's fair to make the assumption that it has scanned correctly I would say.

Aye, that suggestion was after I was asking how to ensure I don't have the issue in the future and what evidence they'd accept or whether to hold the queue up to scan my ticket multiple times they responded with that suggestion. I was being pretty sarcastic at that point and suggesting I video it or take a selfie with the scoreboard as I had several short replies from them before which wound me up.

What a heap of old shit.
Never before have I read such a customer unfriendly response.
It would be really easy to add the point if you have all the evidence to support it.
I really do despair at some of the people we have running this department (not the lasses in the office)
Seems like there all brains and no common sense.

That response is absolutely disgraceful

Aye, two photos taken from the seat I was sold with our players warming up isn't good enough though!
What id do now is contact arsenal and say they need to prove you were there or bring into question the safety of their ticketing operation as this could cause a serious incident due to overcrowding if tickets are just letting people in without counting it properly. Resposnses
of a childish nature often work the best

What an absolute load of nonsense. Of course they could add the point on. If you have location history turned onto your phone that will prove you were in the stadium on the day of the match. Still probably not good enough for them though.

Do you not have any bank statements or anything that shows your cards were used in London on the same weekend? It's a disgrace that you should have to prove you went, but it could help. I'd go down in person and ask to speak to someone about it.

Did someone not have this recently for a game and got the point added on.
I was missing 3 points from the change over, others missed points too. Ticketing side still having issues which is a shame on everything
