Absolutely, if something political happened that they didn't like they'd be gone, sadly I don't see that happening tho.
would you take a PL title and FA cup win if it meant sunderland were out of business within 10 years? They represent a cautionary tale. As we plummeted to League One, I'm sure plenty of us looked on at Leicester with a Premier League title in the bag, Champions League football, seemingly a club that gatecrashed into the big time. They also won the FA Cup on 2021.
Here we are 10 years after their title and they could be heading out of business. The authorities who write the PSR rules will see it as evidence of why they are needed and for the likes of us, we can only be grateful for an ownership seeking to run the club sustainability but also aware that nothing can be taken for granted in football.
Should be booted down to the National League if they do.
Maybe the administrators can sell off some of those facilities for good money to pay to the numerous and considerable creditors the club owe. Like the Hotel, the 14 training pitches, etc, etc. Clubs need to learn they cannot just carry on taking the piss and being run like this. Players wages alone are more than 100% of income. Let them start from scratch with a clean slate, but outside the FL.Not sure what benefit that would do for anyone, it'd just kill the club as no-one is taking over a club with the facilities and stadium they have to play in the National League.
It's administration not liquidation.
Who is going to buy a hotel nobody stays at?Maybe the administrators can sell off some of those facilities for good money to pay to the numerous and considerable creditors the club owe. They have six players paid over £70k a week?! Am I naive thinking we probably don't have that many in the premier league? Xhaka obviously but after that... Not sure of any? Maybe Alderete, Mandava and Mukiele? If you see how much that are paying the first team with 6 over 70k a week I’d say it’s a formality.
That's upto the administrators though, there's no reason why the hotel has to go with the football club, they could be sold seperate if they wanted. Selling a Championship / League One football club will always be worth more than a stadium and some football pitches with no-one using them.
I also like Sheffield Wednesday, would've been brutal to kick them out the league after the shite they put up with and you can't do one rule for one and one rule for another.
First offence iirc for Sheffield Wednesday. It isn't for Leicester City. It's unfair on the other clubs in the pyramid, trying to follow the rules.
I mean these dodgy owners delivered a title , fa cup, champions league football. Nothing to do with the fit and proper test.Aye I get what your saying but just think it's unfair on the supporters, it's not their fault that they happen to be owned by dodgy owners more than once.
The fit and proper test, which has failed more than once, should be who is getting the criticism rather than affected clubs imo.
I agree, it’s very difficult to get the balance rightAye I get what your saying but just think it's unfair on the supporters, it's not their fault that they happen to be owned by dodgy owners more than once.

And the time before that was due to the itv digital deal, also those owners also took leicester to 2 major trophies
Supporters have to take the rough with the smooth, they weren't complaining when they were winning titles and cups. If the charges stick to City they should be kicked out of the league too.
Derby's story is totally different, they basically sold off everything and over spent for a pop at the promised land. leicester acheived all their success organically it was after when Leicesters problems came.Aye I get that, but if you applied the same rules, then Derby would be dead now and what have they achieved?
It's a hard mix but do get what you's are saying. It's an awkward one as Leicester is the exception really, everyone else has endured misery really.
