Really minor annoyances

I’m sick of all these presenters at the olympics who are getting paid to speak, saying that someone has finished in sickth place. Come on it’s not that difficult a word😡

I'd like to nominate: people who can't get off an escalator/travelator without coming to a complete stop while analysing the threshold situation.

People at the kitchen sink at work who take half an hour to rinse a cup and spoon while you wait to do yours and get a cup of tea

People answering straightforward quiz questions correctly on telly then puffing out their cheeks as if they'd run a marathon or cured cancer or something.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire seemed to make that worse. I'm sure they only pick contestants who can discuss answers at length.

Name a black and white striped animal native to the African plains:
A - Elephant
B - Horse
C - Zebra
D - The White House

I'd answer C. Are you sure. Yes because it is a bloody zebra, does everyone not know this?

That would not wash for TV now. You can't do quick fire, it has to be a discussion.

Well I think elephants are grey, but perhaps in some areas they could be striped. Horses tend to be plain coloured or patchy not striped but that is a possibility. A zebra is striped but is that not Australian? *chuckle* well I know The White House is a building but was it named after an animal. blah blah blah for another 5 minutes.

Then finally the answer comes and the cheek puff like you say. "Well done, you are now at £2,000".

It is a zebra, say it, move on, keep the audience engaged, lets not make a song and dance about it. Save that for the difficult questions.

Eggheads is the worst show for that. Every question the eggheads have to explain why it couldnt be the other 2 options
