We do the exact same, and have done all season.

But this “enhanced” checks suggest we’re going even more today, which if I read this place correctly potentially aimed at the branches (maybe not?) which will lead to chaos.

Is it normally on that info email too?

The email from Ashley Lowerson that we get with all the helpful info on , doesn't mention anything about ID checks this time

I’ve just travelled down on my usual branch and there isn’t a concern among anyone on it. So it’s not a branch wide threat. I don’t know which branch has been whinging on about allocations etc but the one I use isn’t expecting owt

Nah the turnstile mate.

The random checks so far are when people scan their ticket it’s cancelled (you don’t know until then) so beeps red and you don’t get in, and have to go out again and go to the ticket office and show ID etc.

Not to debate the merits or not of the actual checks again (because fuck me it’s a boring chat with the same things being said over and over), but it’ll be complete chaos if there’s whole branches being cancelled as obviously there’s queues behind them trying to get in. Especially about 20/15 mins before kick off when loads are trying to get in.

Good luck to everyone if the club have decided today’s the day to do that to branches!

I always do this even when it’d be easier for branch to do it for me and them.

Yeah but if you’re stuck in the queue behind 30 people all trying their ticket, it going red and then having to get out to go to the ticket office - you’ll be impacted massively! Look at the queues at Man U this season, or West Ham.

Or of course you might be one of the ones checked.

Just make sure you’re getting there extra early would be my advice.
