Sunderland offered €25 million for Víctor Muñoz during the last winter transfer window, a proposal that was not considered by Osasuna or the player himself. The move, first reported by journalist Matteo Moretto on Radio Marca and confirmed by this newspaper, came two days before the January transfer window closed and was presented verbally. The club referred to his €40 million release clause, set after his transfer from Real Madrid, who retain 50% of his economic rights.

This attempt to sign Víctor from the Premier League is what Alessio Lisci referred to a week ago. "There have been offers for players. The club made a strong offer; they were starting to approach the release clause," he commented without revealing the striker's name.

Regarding Víctor Muñoz, the English club initially proposed a €20 million transfer fee, which ultimately rose to €25 million . Agents conveyed this information to Víctor, who consistently expressed his desire to remain in Pamplona. No negotiations took place. Would have been a right waste of money bullet dodged .His stats from his latest match were played 90mins / 0 shots ,0 assists,0 goals .in a match they won away at Celta Vigo 2-1.So the question is what did he do in those 90 mins not a great deal by the looks of it 😀
