Jocelin Ta Bi

Hopefully get a cameo from the lad, been disappointed with how raw Mundle looks, so could do with Ta Bi looking the part.
Ageee with this. We need a winger who attacks the defender and tries to take him on and delivers quality. Maybe that Leicester lad was the right player to do it.

Thought his pace and directness might still cause more problems though but his touch has been woeful.
I think he looks really low on confidence, shame we weren't in a position to get him out on loan in January so he could play week in week out for the rest of the season.

I think that might have happened if Traore was fit but even Ta Bi wasn't quite ready when the window was closed, shame as Mundle clearly needs games.

I like him, but the fact he won't go outside at all is a massive problem.

Not many wingers do these days I suppose, but most at least try it the odd time to keep defenders guessing.

It's at the point now where defenders are giving him a world of space on the outside, but he still cuts in every time and they know that's what's going to happen.

Against Liverpool the other night there was one piece of play on the edge of their box where he had a great opportunity to go down the outside and pull a cross in, but head down he cut inside again and took a shot which was blocked.

So frustrating, as we all know and have seen that there's a player who can surely contribute at this level in there somewhere.

Even Traore goes down the outside occasionally and he might be one of the most one-footed players around.

This.

He seems to not be able to control a football. I can, but I’m not being pressured by Joe Gomen tbf.

I think overall he lacks that split second that sets you apart from the Championship in this league. Clarke has the same problem and probably why we cashed in. And why Spurs and Leeds let him go.

Different killing the ball then being able to stand a man up and run beyond them, to having said man just on your touch straight away.

Mundle was raw and inconsistent in the Championship I felt...hardly surprising that he's struggling even more in the PL after such a long lay off as well.
Agree with this. I thought he looked tough at championship level. No idea why people expect him to flourish at PL level at this stage.

I like him, he’s got enough to have a good career and i think that could include premier league football but i also think Angulo and Talbi will be fighting out left wing from here onwards so I expect Mundle to be available for loan in the summer.
I think we will give Traore another year and assess whether Ta Bi is good enough on the right before adding any wingers but suspect right side will be an area we are looking for a next level signing in summer.

He's too easy to read and has neither the required pace nor skill set, loan or sell.

I think he looks really low on confidence and i would have been quite happy if we'd got angulo in early and loaned out mundle

Wish I could find the moment in the West Ham game where Wan Bissakka was stood giving him all the space in the world to go down the outside and he still tried to cut inside running straight into the defender.

He literally crossed into the box with his left foot against Liverpool, so not quite a fact.
