ID checks for away tickets

I take mine on our points she’s 13.

Don't think anyone is certain where we're concerned. I know at the mags if people are selected and don't turn up there's a risk of them losing all their loyalty points. Not sure if that's for a first offence but it would definitely stop people taking the risk. I suspect we'll either do something similar, or will start to do so soon

I mean that’s wank, I have colitis and have missed a couple through having a flare up.

gave the tickets away for home games and once for a an away one where I didn’t dare travel.

Seems canny harsh as I can change between on day and next.

Tbf I was referring to 4-5 year olds. One in front of me standing on his chair but using it as a trampolene. His sister next to him was even younger and mum was on the phone the whole time. They did seem to know some of the players but i'm not sure what was more distracting, the bouncing obscuring my view or the fact I was expecting him to fall off any moment

I strongly suspect any ID check no shows will be pulled again next match and so on.

I also strogly suspect the hope by people who at the moment cannot get tickets won't change as the number of people proven to be passing tickets on is way smaller than they think and even then those tickets would go to people on 35-49 pts instead.

This clamour to remove the current system is basically because the people who went to loads of games when we were shite are still going.

I am not sure there is a mechanism but I would suggest contacting the ticket office and telling them in advance that you cannot get there. Otherwise they will pull your loyalty point and possibly put you on the suspect list for future ID checks.

Aye, it's the points I am worried about as they deducted one when my coach did not turn up.

How do people know this information mate? Has it been shared by the club?

I get the feeling the club haven't fully decided on what the punishments are , and are using the remainder of this season to gauge how widespread the problem is .

It would be extremely harsh for someone who has passed a ticket onto a mate (i.e not sold it for profit on Facebook) to have thier loyalty points wiped out for a first offence. Although it doesn't sound like that this is happening, it'd be interesting to see what the club did for a second offence. Puts people in a very awkward position if they genuinely can't make it at the last minute and have been pulled for an ID check.

Hopefully they come out with some clear communication, if not this season then before the start of next season so we all know where we stand

Why does allowing your home season ticket to be used by your missus when you can’t go mean you need a physical card? It’s much much easier to share a home ticket digitally with her via a transfer to her account. It then disables that game from your e-ticket and issues one for her for just that game. Repeat whenever required.

The named card holder is the season ticket holder and they can go to away games on it. There is no “sharing” arrangement where you both own the season ticket. The named owner can pass the ticket on for home games (via the digital sharing option) as much as they like, but not for away games.

Anyone claiming this happening multiple times a season is fishy mind.

And if you do genuinely have last minute emergencies regularly, maybe don’t buy a ticket

Couldn't give a shit if you think it sounds fishy

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that over the course of a season you might pass your ticket on once, then fall ill before a different game and your ticket goes unused. There's two strikes. Would just be nice to know what the punishment is for that
