ID checks for away tickets

Would be handy if they could put something in place to facilitate the passing on of one or two tickets per season
Agreed mate, I’m sure it might’ve been said before but the mags allow 2 for any reason to anyone or something like that. If the club are going to put checks in place, clear communication needs to be made but as we all know they’re not very good at that

Wouldn’t that be a bit like the police informing burglars that they were hiding in the garden shed?

I assume any transfer would also be subject to point being passed on and actually going though safc systems rather than simply passing a ticket link on

Agreed but some people (I'm looking at that Facebook group) need to stop buying tickets with the sole intention of selling on

It would need restrictions to maybe 2 or 3 transfers per season, but it would help out 100s of fans who can't go at the last moment for whatever reason, whilst other fans who are desperate to go can't legally take the spare ticket on

Yeah I see no reason why 2 transfers cannot be allowed but I suspect it is way down the list of priorities to sort atm especially when the club just sees pretty much instant sell outs on all aways.

In my opinion, I think their thought process is sort out the buying and selling on first then see how that affects availability

Sorry mate can’t get in your carbon footprint is too high and your digital id says your on the PIP shouldn’t be attending footie.

Not really, an email the night before would be like they used to do would be. Simple stating the sanctions you’ll face if u pass ur ticket on is a deterrent

The problem is if they do clamp down on everything we could lose a generation of supports, the demand outweighs the supply significantly now. The younger generations often get their tickets through others means, they’ll never be able to a game now, and these are the lads the club need over the next 20 year
i don't think the club have any say in it. its a premier league rule imposed on the clubs.
I know for Newcastle it was club imposed after consultation with their support, was minuted somewhere

That’s where I believe there should be a ballot of say 10% for young lads just starting out. If blokes are whinging on saying they can’t get tickets they can get to fuck

If you are being honest, how many away games have you genuinely bought a ticket for that you have ended up missing due to an unavoidable emergency? Way back when I used to go all the time, can only think of one. I think this is a very minor issue.

That should definitely be thing. But, not as a cash cow how other clubs have implemented it, a genuine ballot without cost of entry, limited to season card holders. 10% of allocations is a small phyical number - would ensure all season ticket holders have a chance, if admittedly small, of attending even the most popular away games.

happens a few times per season in our group. one lad in particular not naming names @payne needs dragging out of his house most saturday mornings

I'd hazard a guess with stricter rules in place, those people wouldn't buy tickets in the first place, meaning people who want to go, could, AND be able to build their own points up in the process.

There really is no argument to implementing stricter rules. Im yet to see a genuine kicking reason against it. Those kicking back clearly are those benefitting from the existing lax approach
