Anyone living close to the ground? Is the river level high? Just worried that with all the rain we have had there is nowhere for the water to drain just like a couple of seasons ago when the first match was abandoned due to the water table being too high

At Washington the river is high and fast moving. But, tbh, I wouldn't worry about it this far out, a dry, the levels can go back to normal pretty quickly.

Probably a bigger concern is how Vic's close season schedule has been affected.
He did a video last month about 2025 review and plans for this season including digging strips up ready for a few years time
And all he's been able to do since is watch it

The ‘could play in the early Championship rounds’ is the bit I was most interested in.
I’ll believe it when it happens like, but the international schedule this year is far easier for players such as Stokes leading into the summer than it has been in most recent years.

Tbf despite the almost continuous rain there is no surface water on the pitch at all....unlike ladt season when there was just with a heavy shower

The ground has a reputation for being fast draining. So, I reckon the issue to probably be have the groundstaff been able to get out to prepare the pitch properly? It might be a little spicy for the first few games and is that better or worse than being as dead as the proverbial dodo as in the past couple of years.
