Our Set Piece Coach

Defending set pieces is also a part of it.

How many goals have we conceded from set pieces this season?
We have started losing a few headers in the box which seemed unfathomable in the early part of the season with Xhaka, Ballard, Alderette, Nordi all being superb in the air

We also score a relatively high rate of goals from second or third phases on set pieces.

These don't actually count as goals from set pieces, but are as a result of same.
Unfortunately every second ball fell to an Arsenal player yesterday. Strange how lucky good teams are.

Don't be such a prick mate.
There does seem to have been a drop off compared to earlier in the season.
This. It almost seems we have run out of ideas to me in terms of attacking set pieces.
Set piece coach out
Hume out
Any fucker else you can think of out

Until the next win of course.
Who's suggesting anybody out?

We've definitely improved but we're still a bit off the better set piece teams in the divisions.

As an aside, he always seems to trudge around the dugout area like he's simultaneously carrying a fridge and the weight of the world on his shoulders.

The thing that I struggle to understand is why our centre half’s try to pass the ball forward , when clearly this is not there specialist skill and a mid field player is standing next to them, don’t think they’d do it with Xhaka on the pitch

They've routinely done it with Xhaka on the pitch, both Ballard and Alderete are very good on the ball.

I really wonder if some folk come from a parallel dimension to post their views and then transmogrify back to watch a completely different version of the Sunderland that I see week in week out. Can be the only explanation; a mackem multiverse.
