Got no sympathy at all for them. Play best when they have high intensity and outrun the opposition, so they decide go for all 4 comps (especially the prestigious carabao cup) with a piss thin squad. Could have easily of saved themselves 6 games this season by sacking off the league cup.

The piss thin squad is a myth.
The lopsided poorly built squad maybe more factual.

Ramsdale,pope and the 20m Greek as keepers

Burn,Trippier,Botman,Livramento,Hall,Schar,Thiaw have all rotated this season and nowhere near playing every game. Miley also fills in at the back.

Tonali,Jer,Bruno,miley,Ramsey and Willock. 6 into 3 allows good rotation.

Gordon, barnes,Elanga and Murphy. 2 into 4 again allows good rotation

Wissa,st Nick and osula again has options up top.

They also have an academy they can pick from and I’m sure to have missed some of the players above too.

Thiaw and Tonali are the only starters in yesterday's starting line up who have played a load of football over the last couple of months. Direct fresh replacements Burn and Ramsey twiddling their thumbs on the bench.

Gordon out? £55M winger still can't get a start. Beheaddie has bought shit and won't play them. Who's fault is that? Howe can't manage his large squad.

All the teams in the League Cup semis are also in the the Champions League so have played the exact same games as the mags. Chelsea even played in the summer. Not sure I've heard any tireness excuses from any of those?
 
Also Keith Downie should never be forgiven for anything. The blokes an absolute c##t. He’s a mag/Saudi mouthpiece and should be banished from our club grounds at all times and forcibly be removed every time he attends.

We should’ve went to sky with a dossier and asked for explanation as to this bias. Just this week I saw a tik tok of him in France as a fan boy, not reporting just being an actual mag shithouse. If he ever thinks he’d be welcome as our reporter on the ground among fans I’d like to think he’d be so uncomfortable without physical violence he had to fuck off!

If he was true to his previous statements of the premier league had to take precedent and we even got 60/40 coverage I could live with his claim. But it’s not. It never will be and he’s still banging out nearer 10mag tweets to 1safc and I bet I’m being generous to our 1 in 10.

He’s not a fit for purpose representative of the north east for sky sports and his job should be up for review by his employer.

Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea, the other League Cup semi finalists are all in the Champions League. They've played the exact same amount of games as the mags 😂

He's only got himself to blame he should never have played full strength teams in every league cup game. The other clubs rotate massively in this competition because the managers of those clubs know there's a lot of games
