Hartlepool United


Tamworth have a penalty disallowed by the most bizarre of circumstances. Straight after that Campbell scores for us but Tamworth equaliser within a couple of minutes
 
We played a Christmas Tree formation today which seemed to be a bit better but again we've dropped points.

Found out last week that Lennie Lawrence is still at the club, hanging around like a bad smell. I wonder how much influence he has in the team. He's certainly not there to sweep the changing rooms.

What’s his role ?
 
I’m going along only because I’ve already bought my ticket & York is closer to me than Hartlepool is. I’m expecting absolutely nothing from this game & will probably leave before the end to beat the traffic.
I am looking forward to seeing York play if only because I think this is what Pools should be aspiring to, maybe not immediately because it’s taken York a few seasons since they were taken over to get to the stage where they are at right now, but we need to start seeing signs of progression.

You've got to aim high, but York City are light years ahead of Hartlepool United atm.
 
I can hear it now….WELL I SUPPOSE IT WAS THEIR FIFTH GOAL THAT MADE ME REALISE THAT THE STRATEGY NEEDED TWEEKING TO INTERFACE THE DEFENSIVE STRATEGY WE PROMULGATED IN THE PRE A MATCH COMMUNICATION BRIEFING…I WAS DISAPPOINTED AT THIS POINT AS IT WAS THE 87th MINUTE AND I HOPED MY MASS SUBSTITUTION COULD GET US BACK IN THE GAME TO GIVE US A FINAL SCORE OF 6-1 AND HOPEFULLY GIVE US SOMETHING POSITIVE TO TAKE HOME FROM THE GAME, WHICH WAS CLOSER THAN THE SCORELINE SUGGESTS.
DESPITE THIS MINOR SETBACK, I WILL STICK TO MY POLICY AND PERSEVERE WITH MY 1-9-1 FORMATION TO PROVE IT’S THE WAY FORWARD IN THE GAME AND PROVE MY THEORY OF ATTACK BY DEFENCE….. !

They're clearly impressed by their all conquering manager
