Europe - careful what you wish for.

A few of our players were dreaming about qualifying in one of the European competition spots. It's a nice dream, but one that could easily become a nightmare as Palace and Newcastle are showing ( especially Palace who are in danger of relegation).Who would have to thought that after their FA cup success?

We need to consolidate and develop our squad and prepare for the inevitable attempts to prise away our best players that will come this summer. That it's not impossible to combine the two - domestic and European fronts, West Ham showed, but it is fraught with dangers. For the moment we need to concentrate on avoiding second season syndrome. Onwards and upwards.

Of course last season many were saying we aren't ready for promotion and need time to build first.
Have to aim to finish as high as you can otherwise what's the point?

Stop pissing on me chips man

Spurs won Europa league and finished 17th last year. Into the last 16 of Champions League this season and struggling in league. I'd take that over mid table mediocrity.

As long as we have a squad capable of staying up then we should be trying to win trophies. If we were to qualify for Europe then another big window would be required to give us squad depth.

Think we have showcased a bigger squad that Palace or even Forest ever had to do last season. I also highly doubt our coach will throw a panic if he feels the board haven’t given him support in transfers in replacing big sales. Nuno and Glasner put themselves in really weird spots.

Rubbish.

Once in our history we’ve played in it, snap your hand off for it otherwise what’s the point.
