Calvert-Lewin (discussion on transfer)

It's one of the immutable laws of football that if we sign a player like that because "he could be very good for us if his injury problems are behind him" then he will suffer a season-ending ruptured Shatner's Bassoon in early September and never be the same again. Another club can sign him and get years of injury free goodness and goals rolling in, but us trying to do that is just asking the gods of football to shit on us from a great height.

🤣

He looks good at the moment, need to judge him over the whole season because his career is littered with purple patches and extended absences due to injury.
This. Looking a very good player at the moment but I'll be astonished if he stays injury free from now to the end of the season.

If he does, Leeds stay up imo and DCL should be in the World Cup squad.

Fair play to Leeds, they took a big gamble on player who is injury prone and it’s paying off. No one doubts his ability, just his injury record.

Reportedly has picked up a thigh injury
was a matter of time really which is why his career has never kicked on. He lasted so long at everton because every now and again he'd find a 6/7 game run where he'd look unplayable, then go missing for months. Will be no different at leeds

Brobbey is only 4 goals behind him even after having to wait a while for his first proper chance

Lasted longer than I thought this season, so I guess Leeds have had more out of him than Everton have for years.

That 6 point gap he's helped them achieve may well help them limp their arses over the line this year so invaluable

That's 10 league goals for the season.

Only third time he's got into double figures. Both other times were back when Ancelotti was his manager.

He's top class in the air for a start. Check his headed goals when he first turned out for Everton, he was unplayable. In terms of finishing and lay offs he's not bad on the deck either mind. A cracking old style centre forward.
