Early leavers and final whistle on Sunday

In an ideal world every person would stay til the final whistle & clap the players off. We don’t live in an ideal world.

What we should be doing is working out how to make more and more stay til the end.

Whilst no-one wants the club to come out and say “please don’t leave early”, they could come out and present a plan they’ve developed with NP, SCC & highway England to improve transport routes away from the ground and the city.

Our transport links compared with Newcastle’s are piss poor, and the people who will be driving to night matches will come more from the 50/50 areas.

The fact you can’t jump on a train to Durham, for example. There’s about 5 trains an hour from Newcastle to Durham and it takes 9 minutes. It takes over an hour to get from Sunderland to Durham.

Lads and lasses.
It was simply a case of human nature, disappointing, but a sheep like mentality of people.
It looks shit, but it isn't a lack of loyalty or the fact everyone lives on a small rock near Cornwall...

Aye, at half 10 last night every road around the city was gridlocked. Cleared at 11 but the lack of public transport for a night match is shocking.

I left on 92 mins cos I wanted a pee before the coach journey home. People can leave when they want for me. Am grateful they stumped up the money for their seats in the first place. Oh and by the way , that wind last night bwas fecking bitter.

3pms are the worst, blokes leaving 10 mins early to get back to watch strictly or X factor I mean ffs would you dare man. Proper hen pecked.
It's a real pity they have no option other than to watch it live. Maybe one day we will have the technology to watch it an hour later or summat. Ketchup TV I think they call it.

Last night, I live three miles from the Stadium and arrived home at 11.15.. The last home night match it was 11.45.

Do I like it?, No. Will I put up with it?, Yes.
Do you walk there and back?

I live nearly 30 miles south of the stadium. I left on FT, dropped a passenger in Peterlee and was home at 11pm.
