Early leavers and final whistle on Sunday

Why should we be better than anyone? We’re all football fans and are no better or worse than others.
It happens everywhere but you’d think it was an epidemic here. This thread was created by someone who never attends by the way.
I go to every home game and always stay til the end. We’ve had an issue with early leavers for years, when I watch other games on TV it’s rarely as bad as SOL unless the home team is getting thrashed. As I say, it’s been good this season but crept back in again recently unfortunately.

It makes us look tinpot like. Don’t recall many leaving vs Arsenal or playoff semi which were also night matches. Kids must have been off school and adults off work then.
Behave. Completely different occasions. Friday night play off & sat evening kick off. I stayed till the end. Disappointed to see so many people go early but it's not prison.

I feel so shit for the players man, they give it all every home game and are met at full time with that. This is one of the best seasons of our lifetimes as well so I’m at a loss as to what it would take to change this mindset.
Have a word with northern rail and stagecoach to provide a service for the whole of the north east and not just Newcastle

Give owa man.... the 95k per week for our top earners will soften the blow!

Is that correct the op wasn’t even there ?
Bizzare ànd yes I was there ànd was spinning my hat around to paint your wagon ( love a home win ! Ànd that tune !)

Play off was midweek wasn’t it? Fair enough about the Arsenal game, forgot that was a Saturday.

My point is that people would not sack off a midweek game if it was a biggy, all the excuses about school nights etc go out the window. If we’re leading Liverpool next week I bet not as many leave.

And what about when we kick off at 3pm?

Reg already said the players notice it
There isn't a problem, unless your a mag and claim the we all stay till the end trophy, ground was still chocker at end of eg arsenal, palace games

I literally saw Xhaka disappear into the stand before the 80th minute... is Regis gonna gave a dig at him?
I suspect to go into the tunnel to greet the lads in, completely different situation tbh

I’m not a mag no I’ve literally just walked through the door after being at the match

I disagree. As been said, Villa were only a goal down the other day in game they could have gone within 3 points of top and there was a lot more empty seats there towards the end. A main factor is lack of infrastructure regarding public transport out of Sunderland after 9pm. Of course that’s not the only reason but, if you’re driving, you’d rather not be stuck in their A roads late in a week night.

It honestly doesn’t bother me whatsoever and I’ve never been an early leaver. I always stay it in the end.

He’s even admitted it on this very thread - along with at least another he’s started on exactly the same topic earlier this season.
I presume he lives overseas.

Only people it bothers are mags and people who live in the city or very close where public transport doesn't affect them

Far from the first time, even in this thread: who gives a fuck?

What's missing in your life that it personally bothers you whether someone youve never met, or will never meet, is in a seat or not?

Life's too short. Relax.
Exactly. I don’t even notice as watching what’s happening on that big bit of grass in the middle.
Bet these people are all members of their local neighbourhood watch.
