A few families with kids near us went with 5 mins to go. 8pm ko nearly 10pm when the whistle went. Normal matches they always stay till end

You said people are short of cash. By not going they save a few quid that theyd have spent on a drink/food/transport?
Some will have other commitments. I know people who have STs with their young bairns so they swerve night matches for example.
