Geertruida

It was reported as loan fee with an option to buy at the end at an agreed price
My point was more you laughing that people don't understand how options work. It isn't a one size fits all. There will be contracts addressing the player registration, and ones related to the employment contract.

We are privy to neither.

The conspiracy theorists and club haters out in force as always.

Just f***ing relax man and see what happens, there will be a plan in place there always is

That's with Xhaka sitting and talking him through games, last week alarm bells were absolutely massive
He didn't just struggle he was abysmal and looked completely lost.
Could definitely be Xhaka’s absence. But could also be due to the general lack of solidity in midfield with only Enzo and Sadiki in there. Could also be that Reg just overcomplicated things.

Most of that will go on wages mind
Yes it will be but that’s a good thing in a way, it means we have top class players at the club. It’s a bit like people being pissed off when they get a big tax bill, I love a big tax bill, the bigger the better, it means I’ve made a fortune if I’ve got to pay a big tax bill.

I'm not disputing this? Now answer my point... If Sunderland want to sign a player from either club in the future is it better for Sunderland to have a good rapport or a rapport? Playing hard ball with a squad player who's had his head turned isn't helpful in any way, shape or form.

So you just let players go making it harder for yourself in the meantime?

As if it really matters when it comes to signing players from clubs - clubs do what matters for them at the time. And if it's not right for us or we can't replace him, he doesn't go.

Are Liverpool going easy now thinking about us?

Absolutely not. There can be reason - we'll let him go with our blessing when we've found a suitable replacement (and fair compensation).

As I've mentioned multiple times, having a good rapport gets you at the negotiation table for future players. Liverpool won't necessarily make it "easier" for Sunderland but they can sure as hell make it harder to purchase future players from them. (Same applies to Leipzig and Chelsea).
