Yes I think that’s normally the case, otherwise if it’s left to the players discretion the agreement would effectively be worthless.

Diarra was always going to come on whatever happened as part of his recovery. He was only a sub because of his recovery. Talbi, Geertruida fair enough. Patto is what he is and is the 2nd keeper so no choice really.

If you think Adringra, Rigg, Cirkin and Onien is a strong bench for the prem then fair play to you, most wouldn't. Its about which league not who.

Why is that your opinion there’s nothing to suggest it?

We know players and clubs agree terms before the clubs agreeing terms. It’s not unusual, it happened with Xhaka last summer

RLB will have ducked the Geertruida question because he knew he was likely off and didn’t want to give anything away

There’s nothing to suggest this isn’t above board

Not sure I agree. He hasn't been overly poor either. He's been poor at times, decent and good.
