I remember when I got sacked by my dad!
The daft fucker gave me another chance and sacked me again.
Not many people can say they got sacked twice at the same job by their own dad!
Responsible for easily the most successful period in the clubs historyCan’t be healthy that set up
We were all in our dad's sack at one point mate.
The stadium has got to be a problem for them. I grew up near Harrogate and we played cup finals there. Its very much a non league ground but has little scope to get better. Main road one side, houses and a hospital on the other 3 sides. Also some of the highest house prices in Northern England so no real potential to build elsewhere. Cant realistically see a way round it especially to service a fanbase where even in your own town youd be a lot of fans second club. Not really sustainable to take on debt to for a fanbase that might all but disappear if they have a few bad seasons.Longest serving manager in the EFL, been there since 2009. The owner has only had his son as the manager as took over the club in 2011, tbf they have done well to maintain their football league status with the small crowds/budget they have.

I get that impression as well. They’ve done superbly to get into the league but it may not be sustainable. Sutton United were similar. Barrow might be as well in the longer term. The stadium has got to be a problem for them. I grew up near Harrogate and we played cup finals there. I think they may have peaked as a football club. Amazing achievement to have done what they have done in the last decade
100 or so is unkind. 2700 there last week for Gillingham. Was there today. They’re f***ing shite.
Keepers crap (and injured), back up worse. Strikers a lump who can’t score and the defence is leaky as owt. Absolutely no hope at all they stay up.
Weaver was out of his depth in the Conference North, completely clueless now and doesn’t have the dignity to step away.
The fans were arguing among themselves and generally just looked fed up. It’s the same 100 or so who go every week so you know them even when I only go once or twice a season, they looked sick of their lives today, with several talking with their backs to the game, and they could barely muster a song (there wasn’t a bar in the away end, otherwise I think most wouldn’t have watched the game)
Same manager that took them up 2 divisions to the Football League.
Same manager thats kept them in the Football League for the first time in their history for 5/6 seasons.
Bit dismissive just to imply that its down to his dad. If his dad wasn't the owner and he was sacked people would slag them off for sacking their best ever manager and the bloke who got them to the Football Leagu3
It was an away game. 150 there today, 77 a few years back when I went to Swindon with them, 200 ish for a close game.100 or so is unkind. 2700 there last week for Gillingham.
Ah, away game is fair enoughI dunno like - When they were in the conference north they had the biggest budget by far buying all the best players in the league and players from the level above, and he wasn’t good enough to get promoted at all.
He got them up to the football league aye, but he’s tactically found out time and time again, he’s constantly falling out with players (nobody sticks around) and he very very rarely turns a game around.
The fans have protested against him time and time again, but his dad has said he’d rather get relegated/ leave the club than sack his son. What kind of a situation is that.
