The aim at the start of the season was to stay up and it looks like we’re going to achieve it. Signing loads of players off to AFCON was a risk but it has paid off and barring total disaster we’ll be staying up.

Yes we might slide down the table (now in bottom half for the first time this season), but the overall game aim is being achieved.

Phil Smith was saying the club were looking for a CM in this window so what the club want and fans want will likely be different.

Indeed.
I can see both sides of the 'debate', but prefer to trust the recruitment folk at SAFC.
Otherwise you could see a deadline day signing of the 2026 version of Tore André Flo.
The idea being that singing anyone would be preferable to no signings, which is bollocks.
