Horner in talks to buy 24% of Alpine according to some post on Instagram I’ve just read
It is reported that a consortium headed by Otro Capital, a private equity and investment firm, are interested in selling their 24 per cent stake, which Forbes value at around $588 million.
But according to PlanetF1, a key clause in the sale agreement to Otro, finalised in September 2023, states that a sale can only proceed 'after the date which is three years after the date of adoption of these articles'.
A sale would also require the approval of Alpine's parent company Renault.
In the meantime, Horner has announced his next role - a speaking tour of Australia.
He will appear in three shows - in Melbourne on February 24, Sydney on February 26 and Perth on March 2.
The season-opening F1 Australian Grand Prix takes place at Albert Park, Melbourne on March 8.
