We do. Highly rated cb from Southampton. We got a striker from Liverpool. Weve had at least 2 northern Irish kids whod already played senior football there. And a midfielder from Leipzig. Plus a keeper from Lincoln

Who's the CB from Southampton? Neill, Lenz and Allen were released from their club. Certainly not the same as buying talented lads from other clubs. Walsh is absolutely shite. Can't judge Burns as he's a first year scholar

Also Allen wasnt released. They wanted to keep him.

Edit: Neil wasnt released either. He just left. He may have been about to be released at the end of that season.

We may have done it with the Norwich winger that’s just joined but it’s not really clear. Matadeen as well although he might have been released from City can’t remember.
 
Neill, Hester and Struk all had offers from other cat 1 clubs and all chose sunderland over them so that's a positive for the club.
With The way the club are operating right now there will be many more choosing Sunderland now too

FA Youth Cup at Eppleton on Thursday v WBA. Draw for the 5th Round has already been made and the winners will play the winners of QPR/Brighton at home.
