Abdoullah Ba

I don't mind saying what a few have avoided saying, it is only ever black players on here that get labelled lazy, so one may deduce that it is a either sub-conscious bias thing, or just the person saying it is a racist kernt.
Mayenda, Brobbey and Isador have all been labelled lazy on this board this season
Not so sure about this really. Similarly, you might argue the black players such as Mukiele and Reinildo for example, have been 'labelled' extremely hard working. Probably, the majority of players we have are black or brown, so there's an increased chance that those individuals may cop for being called 'lazy' by some knackers at some point when their form inevitably dips. Im not sure that automatically translates as racism; more the fickleness of football fans, I'd say.

It's not just on here

If I was him I'd be sitting down with the club and negotiating a termination.

He's got 18 months left. I'd saying 'give me 6 months wages and I'll go now'. That frees him up ahead of the closure of the window, gets some money in his pocket, and someone might pick him up on a short term deal until the summer once the window is shut, gives him a chance to put himself in the shop window.

Infer, not deduce
Irrespective of the grammar, it is only ever black players that get labelled as lazy on here, whilst we have had 4 black players called lazy on this board this season (I had forgotten about Adingra being called it also).

I cannot think of the last time one white first team players has been called lazy ( by more than one person) let alone 4

I imagine the lad is in a similar position as Pembele, where he recieved an automatic bonus upon promotion and now no one can match his wages (Sunderland and le Herve I presume worked out a compromise for Pembele).

From the lads perspective, the longer he goes without playing, he’s at real risk of have no no career at all when his contract finishes this summer.

I do think it would have been a better plan for him to be back with under 21s, but I’m only guessing whether the club and or him don’t want to go down that route.

Oh and also I read somewhere recently we are now at our maximum as far as European loans, so I don’t believe him or Poveda can be loaned out to Europe, I believe they brought these rules in to counter city and Chelsea loaning 200 odd players out there.

Rodwell was labelled the laziest player wanker scum of all time and I’m pretty sure he’s white. It’s a wild stretch to link players being labelled lazy with racism mind.

Biggest load of Tosh I've ever read. Get a grip man. Trying to turn that into a racism issue ffs. Some people look for anything

In 2020, we conducted a study in conjunction with RunRepeat to explore racial bias within football commentary. The study aimed to definitively understand if players’ skin tones influenced the way commentators spoke about them.
RunRepeat reviewed 80 games from the 2019/20 season across four of Europe’s top leagues:

English Premier League
Italian Serie A
Spanish La Liga
French Ligue 1

The study analysed 2,074 statements across these matches from commentators speaking in English and working for UK, US and Canadian media outlets, where they discussed 643 unique players of various skin tones.

The findings showed bias from commentators who praised players with lighter skin tones as more intelligent, higher quality and harder working than players with darker skin tones.

Players with darker skin tones were significantly more likely to be reduced to their physical characteristics or athletic abilities – namely pace and power – than those with lighter skin tones.

Charlie Wyke
Chris Maguire
Jack Rodwell
Adnan Janusaj
Bryan Oviedo
Ian Poveda
Elliot Embleton
Bradley Dack

You might be right of course, but I'm pretty sure similar sentiments were made of the above - some worse than others.

The difference between deduce and infer isn't grammar though, it's a category mistake. Deductive arguments have a necessarily true conclusion, where inferences (inductive) are probabilistic conclusions.

2+2=4 is deductive reasoning

'The grass is wet, and it rained earlier, therefore the rain is likely the cause of the wet grass' is an inductive argument. It might not be the reason.
