Commodore Amiga - Picture memories

Top of blandford street, (crowtree road end). I can picture it but can’t think of the name.
Oh yeah, I remember that one too. It was next to the suit hire place.
I don't think so mate, I think it was Blandford Street/Crowtree way.
Yeah, I know the one. I used to buy all my spaccy games from there. I remember the NES being on display there around the time it was released. I can't remember the name.
I think it was called Sweet Treats for years after it was a games shop.
Computer centre maybe?

I honestly can't remember mate, would love to see an image of the place or better still, inside.

I can only ever really remember buying C64 games in there, I'm pretty sure by the time the mega drive was released, that shop was gone, could be wrong.

Sounds about right. It was definitely there in the late 80s as I bought spectrum games from there. Last ninja 2 for sure.

Manchester United in Europe??
I remember playing that on the school acorn computers. Being allowed back into europe was a massive thing at the time.
They won the cup winners cup first try didn't they?
Did anyone else get magazines with the free demo disc on? I have some really fond memories of messing about playing demos and things on them. Gives me peak nostalgia feelings.
I remember playing a 1943 style shooter demo from one of those - Raptor I think it was called.

And one of those CDs got me into music trackers - FastTracker2. Messed about quite a bit one long summer break.

Yeah, I'm sure there was one opposite Crowtree. Was just talking about it the other day.

I think they was one down Blanford Street too at one point.
Then obviously the one next to McDonalds was there for ages too.

Mate the demos used to be class, you seemed to get almost full games, same applied to PC games at times. It was brillint.

Aye I absolutely loved it. I think it must have been a cheaper way of my parents getting me things rather than buy new games? Not sure how much games must have cost then? But the disks were class, as you say.. seemed to be full of all sorts of stuff to mess about on. Take me back there now ☹️

Loved my Amiga back in the day.

I can remember stable masters the horse racing one , Championship manager and Premier manager, used to go down town get 10 disks for £3 so I could copy games 🙂

I think so. I remember them having an Amiga CDTV for sale in there. It's a mini mart now.

Can’t remember if I ever got one of them. Maybe years later to try. Probably not!

Stable masters was class!!

There used to be a lad who lived in Castletown whose bedroom was like Aladdin’s cave for copied games for all sorts! His mam would answer the door and send you up to his room to browse and purchase 🤣🤣

Class wish I knew him would of been a lot easier 🤣

Yeah you're right, I had abit mess with it last night and once tactics etc is done you do actually control the players etc. Some really random teams on it like gateshead and stuff 😄
I've noticed the Amiga 1200 mini is due to be released or is due to release more stock if it's been released previously. It comes preloaded with so many games, but I'm wondering if you know whether or not you can play all games with it having workbench and a usb socket?

I'd love to be able to play Champ Man 94 and things like that on an actual Amiga again.
