I liked him, there's easily a championship player there and its regretable where his career has gone in the last 18 months.

You would assume that his attitude wasn't right for Regis, maybe even part of a scouting issue Jewi suggested.

The lad was never a winger until he came here, always played DM or CM in France. Considering that, his goal and assist returns were canny from wide but when he's played for the 21s this season he's still looked very lightweight.

Strange situation with this lad he has basically sat out for 18 months of his career.
He had his flaws and was abit rash and raw but i definitely think he had potential and alot of good attributes.

Was a time a couple seasons ago he was keeping Roberts out of the team he started in the 5-0 Southampton game and if im not wrong we beat Stoke and Blackburn 3-1 in the games after and Ba started in all them. Definitely think a lower end championship team or at least a high end league one team would of took a punt on him but it’s strange he’s been happy to just sit and train on his own and pick up a wage instead of trying to progress his career

Not surprising as he isn’t really a winger, despite being played there.

I don’t think he’s good enough for where we’re at now, but people rewriting history and saying that he was ‘lazy’ is simply untrue.

As much as Speakman and his team deserve credit and praise for their recent recruitment, I’ll never for the life of me fathom why they brought in Poveda.

i sort of got it in terms of providing options but his fitness was clearly suspect and he wasn’t going to add much to the cause

He always worked hard when he played( for the first team anyway) his problem was decision making and sometimes he didnt even know where the ball was going to go after he took a touch .

I remember being at Norwich away and Ba was playing on his own up front due to our lack of strikers. He scored, we won 1-0 and he was MOTM. He was so full of effort and was really impressive. Since then his career has fallen apart. I am not saying he is Premier League standard but he showed he could be decent at Champo level. Hard to understand why it has gone so badly.

I've not seen it back since the actual day but I remember thinking how on earth has Gunn let that in, seemed to gently roll into the bottom corner from the edge of the D

Quite liked Ba, but he was incredibly frustrating and after the 3rd open goal miss I'd fully lost my head
