Hartlepool United

I don't understand why Matty Daly doesn't start games. Last few games he's come on as sub and we've played better for it when he's on.

Think what could happen if he starts.
Don't worry he will get a start soon......Bad news is, it will be for his home town Club Stockport County.....Challinor there tonight watching him.

No chance he’s looking at Matty Daly, he’s not good enough for a top L1 team.

Apparently Challinors son was playing in Durham earlier today

Mind you feel the need to mention Gateshead. What a mess they're in. 220 away fans last night just laughable & their shithouse tactics backfired massively which they really didn't need to do. Their goalkeeper all night wasting time, taking ages with goal kicks from the very start, changing the ball, having his boot laces fastened, going down for cramp, at one point nobody around him seconds after the sending off, he fell down "in agony" so they could have a quick team talk after going down to 10 men (that needs massively clamping down).............. amusing to see him fully recovered when they went 2-1 down & at full time when he went to get his towel out of the goal, he seemed somewhat shocked to receive the absolute dogs abuse from The Town End   . They're 6 points from safety now and they look doomed, won't shed a tear if they go down.

Yes, I was watching for his reaction at the end of the match. He looked bewildered and crestfallen, rightly so too. It was bad form by the ref to allow that to continue virtually the whole match, a yellow card early on would have put a stop to it. Thing was, it was unnecessary, they had us on the ropes in the first half, they should have tried for a second goal.
As for Featherstone, come on Nicky, stop starting games with your favourites! Everyone but you can see Campbell is out of form, bench him! Stop playing so defensively at home, every game the same tactics, it’s boring. Personally, I would play McNally alongside Reid. He’s not fast but neither is Vadaine Oliver. He is big & strong & he looked good playing out wide last night, PTID.

Gateshead had us sussed and at 0-1 they bizarrely decided to drop Beck virtually into central midfield which was a strange move as him and the other big lad up front were causing us bother and they were getting forward well and creating stuff. Once they went 0-1 whilst they were comfortable, they didn't really create anything which was noticeable, but they really should have gone for it as we were utterly hopeless. Sending off forced Featherstone to change things, otherwise 11 vs 11 he was never changing that until around 70-75 minutes with his usual party trick changes as he did on 73 mins on Saturday. Most definitely got lucky last night but it's another win but as I keep saying, this fella is not the fella to take the club forward. Booed off at half time, Campbell jeered off as well, it needs to change. I've seen enough now to realise him and Dickman don't have it and need to be gone as soon as possible, the crowd are bored.

And in Maidenhead.

It's the "new thing". Winds everyone up.

Ref's need to get a grip.

Re last night's match.

First off wins a win and most important. First win I've seen at Pools this season. Draws the rest.

With 11 men, against bottom of the league team and they were in relative control. Pools didn't have anything other than Charman trying his best. Down to set up or player quality, perhaps combination.

Changed when Heed were down to 10men as said forced the managers hand to push extra body up front and push on.

From the matches I've seen play offs are so far away.

Yet there's still a chance and hopefully positive momentum from last 10min carries into next match.

How did Ferguson play at left back for Gateshead? Not sure he wanted to leave pools after 5 years

As soon as we put pressure on them he looked his usual self... All over the place and hopeless. Very very poor footballer, had it far too comfortable at Pools as he didn't have any competition for his position. Was glad we got rid to be honest he was poor and teams targeted him all the time
