Aye, reports at the time said we didn't want to pay what they wanted, then we went back at the end of the window and paid what they wanted.

Thankfully there were enough good transfers to mean the bad ones don't matter now.

He always kinda reminded me of Fredgaard - for ages when we were linked and then waiting for him to arrive we were told Fredgaard was quick and within a couple of months of landing in the PL he said something along the lines of his pace being his main attribute and over here he was averagely paced 😀

Rusyn was meant to be energetic and pacey. he must have been playing at quite a low level. He always wanted to play on the shoulder and fight the defender, despite being slower and weaker than all of them.
 
Actually think the young Ukrainian lad we signed to help him settle in may turn out better tuterov
Scored a nice goal against the smogmonsters tho

That summer was horrific. Speakman got all giddy at the previous season's success and decided it was kids or nothing

Triantis, Bellingham, Hemir, Seelt, Dack, Bishop, Mayenda, Rusyn, Pembele & Aouchiche

Bellingham is the outlier there - massive profit and a pretty decent player (not as good as we all pretended he was like) and I guess we made a profit on Triantis. Seelt might come good (or more likely we can sell for £6-7m and get a PSR profit) and of course Mayenda was eventually a success (and I think there is more to come).
 
I don’t think he was that bad like. Better than Hemir in terms of effort and application. Still not up to standard mind. Of the ones we signed that summer I felt he should’ve had more games. Burstow was disgustingly bad.

Dack had more appearances on his wife’s garbage ITV2 programmes than for the Lads 😂

Brobbey is now my top man. Still haven’t worked out how he put that in yesterday. No wonder he got cramp getting that in.
