Sunderland music thread

Quallity band & performance, but why did they start 45mins late
Half the crowd left before they decided to play..

Cheers mate. We had to wait for people getting in from work before we could pick gear up and head to venue. That's the reason we dont play Fridays very often. Enjoyed The Peacock so glad we made an exception.

My band is playing at the Vault Yard on Saturday night, seems a bit of a strange set up with the band setting up halfway up the stairs. Has anyone seen a band in here before? Decent atmosphere?

Aye. We were just on a night out & a band happened to be on. They were pretty shite. Played Jam & Oasis covers & stuff. They missed out a full verse of Tubestation & a lad I was with was convinced a guitar someone was playing wasn’t plugged in. Never found out who they were.

Just from my one experience, I was a bit pissed so this might be well off the mark, but it seems like the type of place people pop into on a night out & there’s a band on, rather than a gig venue where people go to see bands. If that makes any sense 😂

Been in quite a few times and its always been canny, sound can be iffy but I think that depends on how the band set their gear up for the shape of the room and where u stand as it can sound crap beside the bar, move to the other side and the sounds totally different..I'll probably pop down, yas were brilliant last week in Peacock.

Nice one mate, that really is appreciated.

We're in there most Saturdays, bands are usually decent and never noticed a problem with the sound. Probably be in tonight.

Danielle Darbyshire on Sunday as well.
Danielle Darbyshire has been retired to 4pm.
