Man City - 115 Charges

"In 2018, the German magazine Der Spiegel published leaked internal emails provided by whistleblower Rui Pinto through the "Football Leaks" platform. These emails appeared to show Manchester City executives discussing how to circumvent UEFA’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.
Key Evidence in the Emails
Disguised Funding: One email from CFO Jorge Chumillas suggested that the owner, Sheikh Mansour, was directly funding most of the £67.5 million Etihad sponsorship, with the airline only contributing £8 million.
Backdated Contracts: Documents suggested the club backdated sponsorship deals to meet break-even requirements.
Dual Contracts: Emails hinted at secret payments to manager Roberto Mancini through a "consultancy" role with another club (Al Jazira) to lower his official City salary."
"Suggested", "suggested", "hinted".......so nothing concrete then....

They've unlimited funds to pay the best lawyer in the country 5 grand an hour to delay, delay, delay...
Or fight within the rules, again they are currently innocent and acting within the rules all clubs and Masters agreed to. Everton presented 40k documents for 1 charge they admitted guilt for, was the delaying or fighting for a better outcome within the rules?

What happened on Tuesday night?

One player played that is under a ban. Swindon stating they had it confirmed that he could play.
A sub not named on the team sheet and they have admitted part of the error.

Only happens with us. Shit show.
Aye but all clubs agreed to these rules, City are producing thousands of documents but so did Everton and Forest and they had 1 charge (which they admitted to). All the clubs including City agreed that there would be no time frame on how long a charge/case would take, again its on the PL as they shouldnt have went after 117 charges, they should have picked out the best 10/15/20 and went after them. Its basically been an example of how to be idiots by the Premier League the entire thing. They have been advised by the clubs on how to police the clubs, another example is clubs bypassing PSR and then having a meeting to decide if they should be able to get away with it or close the loophole. The whole thing stinks but the clubs all agree to it.

No it wouldnt, change the rule broken to a completely different one, in a totally different competition, change it from 117 charges to 1, change it to admitted fault to denying it and then add in that there will be a time frame accepted within Swindon's charge to absolutely no time frame for the EPL then it might be different but sadly there are 2 completely different things you are trying to compare its a waste of time trying to compare them.

If Man city are guilty I hope they get the book thrown at them BUT they are currently innocent, the length of time is due to the powers at the EPL allowing the clubs to agree that there would be no time frame when this was set up, its now changed as per the Everton and Forest cases. The amount of documents they produced in their defence is perfectly fine and the counter claims they are produced are fine as thats what happens in cases like these. We shouldnt compare them to totally different things as it helps nobody.

Still carrying on as if nothing will happen. It won’t.
It’s Man City.

So when do you think all this will be signed sealed and delivered?

When Stevie Wonder gets up and not the Fat lady to sing ..😆

Oh my word. Really? The media are legally bound to use such terminology until the conclusion of the case, regardless of it being there in black and white. I genuinely can't believe some of the hoops people are willing to jump through to defend that despicable club.
I’m not defending them at all, quite the opposite tbh I’d like to see a more competitive league rather than a few clubs buying all the best players.

The media use all sorts of tricks to sensationalise a story. For example…….an unnamed source close to (whoever) stated that……

In other words….absolute made-up bollocks.

A villa fan from Mexico..that’s the same as plastic who has all of a sudden turned up since them doing well ..🤷🏻‍♂️😂

I'm from Birmingham. Grew up about 300 yards from Villa Park. My old man followed the Villa in the 3rd division in the late 60s and was in Rotterdam in 82 when we won the European Cup and I used to go home and away with the Villa for years. I moved to Mexico 4 years ago when I met my missus who is from here.

Seriously, calling me a plastic when you don't know me is absolutely pathetic behaviour.

I have no idea when it’ll be sorted, but that’s because the teams and the EPL didn’t have any time frames in place when they set the rules, not just Man City but every club in the league an those who get paid millions to run the league. It’s also an independent panel who have other jobs, thankfully the clubs and EPL have changed these rules so there are time frames for decisions to be made by now. That’s not Man City’s fault though.

What should Man City do? Carry on doing business or stop everything and go some rival football fans who haven’t seen 99% of the facts have decided we are guilty so punish ourselves?

Chelsea have reported themselves for rule break and that’s taking ages, clubs have used loopholes for years, City thought they found some. Until the result of the investigation is announced they are innocent and should just carry on like all other teams too.

Calm down it was only a joke, dear me ….🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ respect the fact you’ve been there all the years you’ve stated btw 👍

Tbf mate, you’re biting at what clearly is a fishing expedition. Try not take everything so serious.
Ha. You'd be surprised mate. Plenty of people actually do hold such absurd views so it's hard to tell when they are just wasting everyone's time by winding people up or if they are being serious.

One thing is for sure you wouldn’t live 300 yards from Villa Park now

Yep you can be a huge supporter of any club and live 1000’s of miles away.

It's a dilemma for Man Citeh fans.

They must be sad seeing one of their players get a groin strain and be out for a couple of weeks, but that emotion is quickly curtailed in knowing their club will just spend millions on a replacement.

I hope they get away with it, the likes of Man United, Liverpool and Chelsea have been bending the rules to suit themselves for years now and pretty much running the league and making sure its almost impossible for anyone to challenge them, so if Man City have been doing the same its no different really.

"I hope they get away with it so our Arab owners can do exactly the same"
