The speculation is that was a bit of a cover for being gasped last minute. Of course many players are signed despite needing treatment by clubs so perhaps we just have a bigger appetite for risk.
 
Got the look of a bit of a punt and hope for the best like it's been with the likes of Mundle, Abdullahi, Mayenda, Aleksic, Hjelde etc all bought for similar fees with mixed results.

You can make anyone's highlights look decent. YouTube videos are about 5 minutes long if a player played 90 minutes over just say 10 games that's 900 minutes.

Probably best to judge a player over a long period of time if or when he signs for your club

We aren't giving the Israeli government anything. We are giving a club in Israel money. Just like if we signed a player from the MLS.

£3m is nothing in today's market. Last January Brighton paid us £10m for Watson who they see as a future prospect. I wouldn't be surprised if we loan him out to a club in Belgium or Denmark or somewhere like that.
