Glasner

I'll never recover from Chris Maguire scoring 4 goals in 34 games for Lincoln... And 3 of them being against us, in one game, at the Stadium of Light.

When people trot out that 'oh every fanbase thinks that stuff happens to them' I bring up this.

Ade Akinbiyi being the classic 'hasn't scored for ages' striker to score against us as well.

But like you say, Maguire took the piss

Glasner has been distancing himself from recent poor results and pinning it on players- by name. He’s half right but you don’t come out in public and call them out - if you want to improve morale.
The Palace players won’t be listening to his barking instructions tomorrow. He’s lost them. They may well want to show some pride but that’s where we step in. Make a racket and scare the phuck out of them.

Inevitable since the summer, he’s not happy at the clubs player policy and knows there are bigger clubs interested. Showcased himself well at Palace and got himself in the shop window.

I find it strange that this is in the public domain as it can’t but be hurtful to Crystal Palace. Interesting times for them, but odd.
It’s strange to me that he’s just dropped it like it was nothing.

He said he and Parish had dinner in October and he told him then he wouldn’t sign anything, and they agreed to keep it between just the two of them.

And now, 3 months later, he told the team and the media for “full clarity”. Why no full clarity 3 months ago, before they sign a £35m player and whatever, what changed? Oh… of course, the Man Utd and Real Madrid jobs have opened up.

Obviously got the hump about Guehi leaving. Allegedly threatened to resign on deadline day when he was off to Liverpool.

Aye, definitely that too. Wasn’t it Parish that called that transfer off too? Then Glasner is the one who gets blanked by Guehi I think away at Chelsea?

Their poor recent form, embarrassed in the FA cup, manager AND best player who is also the captain leaving… writing is on the wall for a dodgy 2nd half of the season and bottom half finish

It’s an excuse imo. He knows he can’t take them further and he doesn’t want to wait until he gets fired (which happens to everyone at some point)
Oh aye. Been desperate to get away since he won the cup and his stock rose massively.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him walk after a few more bad results.

Palace have peaked, the potential of these clubs only goes so far. Get the next managerial appointment wrong and they could be fighting relegation next season.
I quite like Crystal Palace as a club. Good fans and have done well as one of the non superpowers in London.

I’m not sure about Steve Parish though. He’s a bit unconvincing for me.
You could see things falling apart fairly quickly for them if they don’t get their recruitment and replacement for Glasner absolutely bang on this summer.

That said, you could have said exactly the same thing about Brentford the summer gone.

Kamada, Sarr, Lerma, Munoz and now Guehi all out tomorrow is significant for us especially now Glasner has came out saying he’s leaving. Great chance tomorrow won’t play Palace at a better time

I absolutely HATE it when everything lands in our favour. Would be a hell of a way to lose our unbeaten home record...

I'm hoping that New Sunderland is different and we in fact take advantage of these things...

Be the most Sunderland thing ever to get beaten comfortably tomorrow
This is a really good Sunderland team I expect us to play well if we get beat fair and square without the referee deciding the match I will shake there hand
