Michael Carrick

The obsession at Man U with Ferguson and bringing in literally any of his former players to somehow recreate him is what will end up ruining them even more.

Fletcher saying he rang Ferguson for his permission ffs.

“Oh let’s bring Solksjaer back in. He won the treble”

It’s absolutely pathetic.
See niall quinn as our manager

Man U fans aren't daft.

Theyve already scrutinised his time at Boro and realised he was as slave to one failing formation as Amorim was.

They may as well go all in and bring Ryan Giggs back as the Family Liason Officer.

I think of all the ex United players who have gone on to manage he has done the best.

Roy’s one good moment was when we didn’t lose any of the first 17 games of 2007 - winning 14 and drawing 3. I am not sure if this is still our longest unbeaten run. The last 5 of those is certainly still our longest run of wins. We’ve never won 5 in a row since. Those were Hull City (h), Cardiff City (a), Wolves (h), Southampton (a) and QPR (h).

The less that is said about Rooney the better!

Ole Gunner Solskjaer for me showed promise with Brondby I think it was, but like Chelsea did with Lampard when they took him from Derby County Man United assumed too much from so little.

I think he will do well with them but he won’t be able to take them back to the top and back to being the best Champions League team there.

Roy got us promoted from the championship
Carrick didn’t get boro promoted
End of comparison

I don’t rate him at all but it wouldn’t surprise me if he did OK, was offered the job in the summer and got sacked before Xmas …
Known as the solsjkaer method, Simon Jordan summed it up well after he did a good job as caretacker end of season "Unfortunately appointing Ole is an unavoidable mistake..."
