Roefs is probably the finest example of an unearthed gem ever. Must be loads of scouts kicking themselves that they missed him
His calmness and composure is superb, he comfortably plays with both feet, how long we hold on to him will be the question, he could easily be first choice keeper for any team in the league, what an absolute bargain he was, he’s nothing short of world class.

I reckon loads of scouts would have known about him after his breakthrough year and decent euro tournament, but the fact we’ve just had faith to put him into a top flight team with no experience has really paid off. Investment quadrupled you would have thought

I've seen some great keepers at Sunderland in my 53 years and Roefs is becoming my favourite in such a short time! He's proper quality and hopefully becomes the Netherlands No1 soon

I’d still say Raya, Donnarumma and Allison are a level above but absolutely good as anyone else in this league.
