Thoughts on Everton's new ground?

Our home fans are very reactive rather than bouncing around with drums and flags during the game.

If there is something to cheer about on the pitch, a crap ref giving everything the oppositions way or we're the underdog / fighting for our lives the home crowd is fantastic.

If its midtable with little jeopardy or we're playing awful football we can be quiet. Mind its like that at most English grounds these days.

Was like that at Goodison as well its nothing new.
How do you like the ground compared to GP, out of interest?

It's massively better in comparison to the modern identikit stadia I've been to (Riverside, Pride Park, King Power). Both looks wise and the plaza bit.

Atmosphere was completely lacking until they scored but perhaps they had more one-off fans than usual with it being a cup tie.

Absolute chew on to get to and from, from Sandhills station it felt like an elongated and more post-apocalyptic version of the walk from St Peters. Having seen the fencing layout for queueing for the return journey, we didn't even attempt it and just walked back to town instead.

My only bug bear was the rake of the upper tier - I'm scared of heights and had originally tried to select lower down seats before giving up and choosing "best available". I've done a stadium tour of Ajax's ground and that left me similarly queasy. Tbh was grateful everyone stood today as it took the edge off!

3rd visit, cracking stadium. Maybe a lack of food outlets in the visitors section but who wants to pay over the top prices anyway.
Toilets, didn’t find it too bad of a queue to be honest, been in longer ones. Mind think I hit lucky at half time as there was toilet
near the exit staircase that most missed just seemed to miss. As for the home atmosphere, Everton are one of those clubs that have
never seemed to have a decent repertoire of songs.

Canny ground but in the arse end of nowhere. Surrounded by industrial works. Turfed out of one pub pre-match as it was for locals only, next pub no bother had a good bit craic on with the Everton fans. Inside the ground the concourses are huge which is a positive. Pitch side was quality. Lovely ground 8/10 but in the wrong place. I’d hate to be so detached from the town. Makes me realise how lucky we are.

Thought it was canny average all things considered. The atmosphere was poor, but perhaps that's just down to their fans sitting in silence. That said I don't think the sound seemed to carry well.

The toilet situation was a bit of a joke, hardly any urinals and took ages to get served.

Fan zone/dj outside the ground was canny.
I really liked it, great location.

Made me realise what it would have been like for us if the proposed Nissan stadium went ahead.

Just got back from Everton - what a game, what an atmosphere - well done to everyone! It’s a great new ground and quite impressive - quite a trek from the city centre where we parked. In side was less impressive than the outside tho! Everton fans were great as always!

See vlog of my sons day out at Everton below!

They're developing a run down area from the era of the industry that helped build the city. It's pretty much like building a football stadium on a former colliery site in the North East....
I was on about the distance from the Old Ground / City, Sol 20 minute walk from Roker or 10 from city centre. Hill Dickenson about an hour from both,
