Not to mention Hume and Cirkin for a few hundred thousand. Our recruitment has been generally outstanding. Biggest loss for us wouldn't be selling the players, it would be the staff being poached.

I was just keeping it to the summers recruitment, and how astonishing the hit rate at such low fees has been in defence. Everyone of those lads brought in will have at least trebled their fees (at the very least) in such a short period of time.

Hume, and Cirkin do deserve a mention though, as do the rest really.
 
Some of the players we have right now, it's so exciting being a Sunderland fan again. Been going since 1974 when I was 13. Hard to remember when I felt so good supporting the club. The last 8 years were so depressing, especiallly the 4 years in leauge 1. Amazing summer signings and at realistic prices well. Well done the recruitment team and staff.
 
Glad he is French, if he was at Afcon with the other lads, I honestly think we would have been truly fooked. We have got to keep hold of this lad.
 
I’m nice we get settled after AFCON with Reinildo at left back and Nordi at Right back we’ll be able to play much more on the front foot and our ability to get forward will frighten a lot of teams

Johny Evans was outstanding mind and he was playing in a back 4 with likes of Nosworthy, Collins, Higginbotham etc whilst here. imagine Evans in this team. He Read the game as good as anyone ive ever seen. Mukiele is top top notch but i wouldn’t sleep on Evans or Mensah for that matter them 2 were both high end quality aswell

Xhaka also world class. We just need a world class attacking player and nothing could stop us (now that would be too much too soon, but we can dream).

The versatility of him, Gertruida, ELF & Hume is a huge asset *once they know what is expected of them. Which they didnt in the first half.

I dinnar if that's necessarily the case mind.

I think some people are forgetting Spurs have some good, dangerous players, and as the home side they came at us first half. When you're put under that kind of pressure the gameplan can go out the window as you're forced to defend.
