Jared Gillet

There was some bad ones but for me the worst one - and I don’t think I have ever seen it happen before - was when the ball went out for a goal kick and Donnarumma quickly went behind the goal in the second half and got a different one from the ball boy and then took the goal kick from way behind the goal line. He dropped it so firstly it was still bouncing and not dead and secondly, the ball must have been at least three feet outside the pitch.

Both ref and Linesman were running towards the halfway line, our lads weren’t set but it resulted in a rapid break which was only stopped at our penalty area before unsprisingly he then awarded them a free kick.

Has to be one of the most one sided officials I have seen this season. Bloke was star struck with them.

There was a similar one second half with a freekick just inside their half. He wasn't even looking at it, hadn't blown his whistle or anything and they took it quickly and he let it go.

Funny how Jared Leto is the worlds worst actor and this fella is the worlds worst referee. Is it a Jared thing? Anybody know any Jareds and do they conform to the stereotype of being arrogant shite?

He told us to hurry up with our goalkicks and throw ins a few times. Not once for Man City, even though they were taking just as long at times in the first half for example.

A proper wanker.

I still refuse to believe his time in Saudi Arabia hasn’t had a lasting impact on his decision making…

I think it was Lee Fee that was pushed/tripped off the ball then Mundle fouled. Both bookings nothing given. He let the game go on but did thag just meant he ignored all City's fouls
Honestly I think the refs just go off vibes from one decision to the next. There's no a single bit of consistency and each game and even half has a different set if rules enforced different each time

What amazes me with referees is the amount of times they get the basics wrong. Last night there were multiple foul throws, throw ins and free kicks taken from the wrong place, free kicks taken with the ball still rolling, not to mention blatant and obvious hand balls.

I see all of these blown for regularly in the Russell Foster league on a Saturday by some aging, balding bloke who struggles to keep up with play, so why can’t professional referees (with help from the useless linesmen) get the calls right?

How he didn’t give a foul for Rodri on Cirkin I’ll never know. Looked like he kicked him in the knee.

Brobbey dragged about all game, about 15 handballs, throw ins taken 15 yards down the line.

Makes the point even sweeter.
Brobbey stopped complaining by the end of the 1st half it was that comical.

Refs are desperate to seem strong against our crowd. Makes them look weak in the end. Giving the bigger team every decision. This chode was no different.

He was awful, I understand it must be difficult being a referee at such a high level but some of the handballs and shirt pulls were as obvious as you’re likely to see. Hard to call it any other way than clear biased cheating.

Him sending Mukiele back when when taking a throw in and letting them take theirs wherever or however they wanted showed he wasn’t even trying to hide his bias

It was such a bad performance that it left little doubt that he was showing bias towards one of the teams. It really needs looking at by the authorities in place.
