Early Leavers - Again!

Once again happens at most grounds and more visible/prominent at some compared to others.

Not a Sunderland specific problem again like its always made out to be. Pay your money, do what you want at the end of the day.

Might actually be worth a moan about if you got an extra point for less than 100 early leavers before 90 minutes...
You'd just get the Saudi massive buying 100 tickets for every team then not showing up.

I hate it too, but you've got to admit its been better this season than for a very, very long time.

Been 95% full at FT for pretty much every game from what I can see.

Don't get me started on going for pints at 35 mins though.
Your last sentence I agree with. Your first sentence is spot on. Probably the best ever.

I know of someone that if he is still in the ground on the 70th minute I'll be shocked mind, wouldn`t be me at all. I just can`t grasp why he does it though, he`ll get up walk along south stand and away at the corner........bizarre

Was expecting a thread, so I'm not disappointed I've started it!
There was a break in play on 85 mins, it started, twats up out of their seats tapping the person next to them. Out they went, really encouraging the team to give everything "Til the end" (NOT). What's the point of going to the match if at 3.50 on a Sunday afternoon you can't hang around for 8 sodding minutes 🤬🤬🤬🤬.
Rant over, but, I will no doubt be ranting again

Dry your eyes ffs man 😂😂

I don’t blame them for leaving early tbh, from the full time whistle it sometimes takes me 15 minutes to get from my seat to the concourse, an absolute ball ache in the south stand

I'll be leaving after 85 mins against City if it's alright with you.
I've got a three hour drive home and I'm working on Friday. That five minutes will probably get me back at about 1:30 rather than 2:00.
If it makes you feel better I stayed to the end against Leeds and Mags.

When the club is trying desperately to build a connection with the fans, which it did successfully with the 'til the end campaign and the generally positive relationship between players and fans this season, it must be galling for the players who are trying their hearts out on the pitch to see thousands not prepared to support their team until the final whistle.

It's not like a film where if you don't like it you leave the cinema early or skip a song if you don't like it on Spotify. This is our football club, it's different from any other form of consumerism, the whole point is there's an irrational love for an institution which, in Sunderland's case, would have lost virtually all support in recent years if it was simply about the product on the pitch.

Even if was just about 'the product', it's now at its best for a generation (and there have been lots of late goals this season, why would you leave early on Sunday at 1-1?) so that argument doesn't stack up either.

People who leave early are generally consumers, not supporters, who don't epitomise what supporting the club is really all about. It's almost become a badge of honour to leave early ffs. Support the lads 'til that end.

At least when they go, they don't come back and block your view getting back to their seat, unlike the shit aler slack bladdered pissy pants kids who can't last 45 mins without needing a piss.

No different from the people who go down 8 minutes before half time and come back 5 after restart.
