Is Trai Hume good enough for the Prem?

Dont think he does mind. When all are available its Nordie,Dan,Omar,Mandava. In the squad deffo because he can cover RB/LB
Hume has only not started once hasn't he, the others have largely been available during that period.
How so. When all our defenders were available, he was on the bench. It’s not a dig at Hume, we’ve just signed a higher calibre of player.

That said he was awful yesterday. Was chuffed to bits when farke brought okafor off, he had his life.
He's only been on the bench once hasn't he? They've largely all been available. Awful is an exaggeration.

No grey areas with some people. Hume has done well and made the step up. He wouldn’t be in my starting line up with everyone fit and available but it’s unusual that everyone is. You need more than 4 defenders and he will continue to play most games for the remainder of the season. I thought he was poor yesterday but he was one of many.

He's played in 18 of our 18 Premier League games this season, in his first PL season, starting 16 of those, playing 90+ minutes in 13 of those, and sometimes even played out of position. We're 7th in the league, and he's won us plenty of points in those games too. It's pretty obvious he's good enough for the PL, and at age 23 has room to improve too.

Exactly, there are some interesting takes.
Ok squad player nowhere near quick enough
He's clearly more than an ok squad player.

Thought he did well yesterday and that goal line clearance was key. He did seem to be unable to match their LW for pace on several occasions.

But I don’t think he was much at fault for their goal. We were just wide open as a team AND a few things had to come off for them to score. It was just a great team goal, helped by our lack of organization.

I think it’s only twice, but for the first few, we didn’t have mukiele, Ballard was injured so nordi filled in there at first, then reinildo was suspended and we went five at the back for the tough run. Since all of that, Hume hasn’t started in his position unless there’s an injury or suspension. The first choice back 4 is reinildo, alderete, Ballard and mukiele.

He does seem to be ahead of geertruida though which surprises me because from what I know and have seen of him he looks a very good player indeed. Might be a victim of his versatility.

Again, it’s not meant as a dig. We’ve just bought better players than him.

At this stsge of Riggs development any full back with Rigg in front of him may find himself busy. Rigg not quick enough or strong enough and little help imo. Options are few and not obvious on both flanks during Afcon.

Though imo Rigg is of most concern. granted some think otherwise. At least on the left Adingra has the pace to cover and still give attacking threat and Mundle can supply a threat on the left too.

The Rigg Hume combo offers little threat out wide and its a problem. Good news is we still got two excellent points past week despite the obvious limitations afcon has caused. Fantastic season.

Hume has probably averaged 7/10 so far this season. He's generally played well against really good players. He struggled quite badly yesterday. However, it stood out because he has been really good so far this season. To say he's not good enough for the Premier suggests you haven't been watching. I saw Cucarella have a really poor game a while back. I've seen Guehi have a bad game. It happens because it's an unforgiving league.
