Am in Miami at the moment (yes, look at me, etc) with Mrs S (absolutely no) today doing Ocean Drive with my ELF away shirt on. A couple of lads ‘accosted’ me for a chat, one wearing this season’s home shirt. Turns out they were Mexican and are absolutely loving the PL season along with (in their words) half of Mexico. Apparently, the social media thing was a bit of a joke at the start of the season, but they have gone proper mad for it after our results / performances.

Was in Mexico for two weeks last month, wore a collection of SAFC T-shirts etc, they had no clue who we were. In the hotel i’d walk to the sports bar and ask for our game to be put on and they didn’t have a clue we were in the prem. Guess i was in the wrong half of Mexico 🤷‍♂️.

I think the only instance where I would ever countenance a home SAFC game being played somewhere else (like the spanish teams want to do) would be if we played it in the Azteca- get a friendly sorted out at least
