ID checks for away tickets

Why though? Passing on of tickets is not as widespread as the "Closed shop gang" will have us all believe, it is not miraculously going to all of a sudden "free" up hundreds of tickets for the closed shop gang to cling on to. Nothing is going to change

Your opinion. Whether you like it or not plenty disagree, which is why it’s hard for any fan group to pile in on it.

So how many empty seats at Brighton then?
I mean other than my f***ing one…
I was pretty central, stood next to a Super Mario clan who were squashed into a couple of seats and there were quite a few in the walkways, so there should have been gaps elsewhere but I didn't see any. 200 for sale doesn't mean 200 sold but if the club had had the balls to buy them then that would have been the end of that group in one go. Opportunity missed I would say

Truth is probably in the middle. I don't think it'll be a huge number, but there'll be quite a few who will buy every ticket and give it to a mate if they can't go, especially now there's a real need to stay in phase 1. I think it's fair enough that the club do a few checks to try and understand the scale of the issue. If they find there's very few, they'll stop doing checks.

Also hear quite a few saying "it's those who never used to go who will be complaining". Aye, there'll be a few of them. But I strongly suspect the main complaints will be from people who used to go to 5 or so away games a season. They'd go to a few, and if a game was sold out before they got a chance it wasn't a huge issue, they'd just pick a different one. Those people will now find they can't get any. Which is fine if all the tickets are going to people who attend more than them. But they'll naturally have more of an issue with Facebook groups and others passing tickets on now that they can't just think "ah fine, I'll miss Leeds, let's go to Stoke instead"

Yup, they could put it all to bed in one swoop, but that would be too easy cos they know best.

I don't care what "Plenty" thinks, I'm not a sheep, unlike you,

Lets crack on with ID checks then, and see what changes for the "Closed shop gang" Ha Ha Ha

If they make a genuine effort to check more tickets and it puts people off from risking someone elses then it will make quite a big difference. The brackets for each phase would be much lower.

Ah see, no it won't at all, as has been said, it is not as widespread as the closed shop gang think it is - It will change very little, bring it on to shut the sheep up

Maybe, maybe not. If the ticket isn't used at all, the system knows this so easy enough to run the list of such unused tickets and knock the loyalty point off. I couldn't make the Sheffield United home game last season on NYD and I didn't get the point for that game.
You don't get points for home games though.

Well I guess that's down to opinion. Most of the people I know with 60+ points have all shifted on tickets. Not touted them or in facebook groups or anything. Just between mates etc.

I know someone that missed about 5 away games last year and didn't have a season ticket.

So you are telling me, you know some-one on 60+ points who now we are in the Premier League has passed on the opportunity to go to-

Stamford Bridge
Anfield
Old Trafford
Eithad
Brighton
Etc

Yeah i do agree mate it is down to opinion but also reality as no one on 60+ points has just "Given up" this season

Ha Ha Ha

Yes, I know several people who went to every single one of those games on other people's tickets. Several on each game in fact.

It's not about 'giving up'. Some people can't afford to do 19 away days on top of home games or can't due to other commitments etc.

Several out of thousands, as I said and proves my point..... No pun intended..... Ha

Its only a few and that's it, lets bring in ID checks and see what changes for the sheep
