I’m not sure how anybody can be ‘twisting on’ for equal pay in women’s football.
It’s not like tennis or golf where they have prize money awarded for the position you finish in a tournament. Football is like any other job. Your club/ employee offers you the terms the feel are fair and you either accept the contract or you dont.

There’s a fraction of the TV and sponsorship money in the women’s game currently so that’s going to dictate what clubs can afford to pay them, isn’t it?
It’s a huge loss maker for Sky but they have to show it nonetheless...

Bollocks. Who is forcing them to show it?
Am told the reasons Sky are doing it are (a) it’s cheap, (b) it looks good on them from a corporate branding perspective / feel they would have external pressure to show it anyway, and (c) if it ever does take off they will have first mover advantage and the best data on consumer viewing habits.

The viewing figures however remain dross, and it does lose money.

How does it lose money when people are subscribed anyway?
Each time this thread is bumped I think the same thing.
I think two versions

Sounds like two corporate decisions rather than something they're being forced into.
