Leeds 28/12/25 thread

Forgot all about Newcastle. Leeds Newcastle was a fair result. Bornemouth scored with last kick of the game we were by far the better team, Forest was Dyches Forest not the crisis Forest you played and Villa were shit when you played them.

You probably do deserve to be where you are but you really have had a soft start, played teams at the right time and had the rub of the green with injury time goals. Good Luck to you.
😄
Soft start. We've played 17 games ffs including draws with Arsenal, Liverpool away, Brighton away, Palace away (2nd at the time), won away at Chelsea, beat Newcastle at home, and then beat a load of home games bottom-half sides. We played Villa when we had 10 men for 65 minutes btw. We've also had our record signing injured all season, and he's now off to AFCON with the other 5.

We didn't get the rub of the green at Fulham in terms of decisions, the same goes for Everton at home. You got gifted a ridiculous late penalty at home to Everton, in a game you're otherwise not winning. Swings and roundabouts.

Ultimately, we're 17th games in, we're unbeaten at home, we've conceded only 17 goals, and we've never lost of a game in which we've scored first. We've also recovered a lot of points from losing positions. That's not luck, that's resilience and confidence. If you consistently concede goals and fail to win from winning positions, thats not unlucky, thats a failure on your part.

To be fair your draws have all been impressive and Newcastle would probably have been a draw if it was not for the freak own goal. Chelsea away is the stand out victory all the others home vicories I would have expected for both Leeds and Sunderland, so despite your impressive home record I think it your away performances are the difference between Leeds and Sunderland.

I have not seen all the posts on Leeds game sure it has been mentioned about Leeds direct style think we use every advantage and bring in hoardings to 1 meter i understand that's the minimal distance between ad boards and bye line?? Ampadu has monster long throw, very dangerous, i know we have some good options from long throws but Leeds seem to have it to a fine art . Take every advantage you can get long throws seem to be vital to Leeds so lets make it difficult. No Towels seems home team can insist on either having them or not.

It's bound to be a close match since we don't score many goals. We lack a bit of efficiency, but more importantly, we don't create many scoring opportunities. Our strength is our play in our own half. To get closer to the top teams, we need a true striker. A Woltemade, for example! :)

No it wouldn’t have, we did what we had to against Newcastle, we would have pushed for the win. Totally clueless way to look at football. We won and deservedly so

We were in charge of the Newcastle game for 60 minutes. We scored the winning goal in the 46th minute. You can't really say what the score would have been if a 46th minute goal hadn't been scored when the game had 45-50 minutes left. We score lots of late goals as well.

You talk some shite, beat Chelsea away, drew at Liverpool away, drew at Palace away, drew with Arsenal, drew with Villa with ten men, and we've had it easy? Not to mention beating Newcastle as well, hope you all underestimate us we feed on it as a team.

His audition went well

Brazilian giant in goal.
Big bastard back 3 of Bijol, Struijk, Rodon,
PL hardest midfield 3 of Ampadu, Gruev, Stach.
Scariest PL front two of DCL and Nmecha
Bogle and Gudmundsson bombing down the wings.

Scared Sunderland 0 Dirty Leeds 2
And they are how many points behind us???

If you were the better team against Brighton thats impressive because we certainly were not.

Not sure football is that simple though. Leeds under Farke will play 5-3-2 and defend in depth when out of possesion 3-5-2 when in possesion.

Not really sure what team will be depends on fitness issues, but whoever plays will give 100% Farke still has the players loyalty.

Not sure if our previous away record has any bearing on this game as we were trying and failing to play a possesion based 4-3-3.

The only away game we have played with 5-3-2 is Brentford who have a similar home record to you and we were like you at Brighton
the better team but only drew.

Predicting football is a mugs game no one expected us to beat Palace 4-1 and we could easily get beat 4-1 at your place, but a scrappy draw or 1-0 win to either side would be my prediction with a derby like game, plenty of passion but not a deal of skill.
Hmmmmm
