SoL To Undergo Multi-Million-Pound Investment Programme

I reckon the biggest driver to the extension will be how corporate sales are going, if we are maxed out with the current facilities and have a big demand for more then that will tick more boxes than "normal" season ticket / match tickets.

Any extension will include lounge areas like 76 yards and founders as they give a better return per seat.

Wouldn't be shocked to see things happen this summer the way things are going
Zero chance

it'll depend on the ownership of the land. i imagine the road is a public highway, the aqautic centre land owned by the council or central government, and the SoL owned by SAFC.

its not as easy as just 'moving the road'
They should have built the entire stadium a little bit further to the right.

I reckon once we are mathematically safe plans for an extension will be kicked into motion.

We have ambitious owners who are not messing around and demand is huge.

For the higher profile games so far this season we could have had crowds of 55,000 to 60,000 without much bother.
I'd have thought they'd wait 2 or 3 years. See what renewals are like with price increases first.

I can't see anyone not renewing for next season even with a substantial price increase its not going to be a shock everyone expecting it. Especially with thousands waiting for tickets they even suspended the waiting list

You then lose the sell out effect, any extension won't happen for a good few years.

If we extend to 55,000 and continue to do well on the pitch we would sell out no problem.

A good chunk of the extra seats would be hospitality. Quinns, Founders, Monty Suite and every single executive box sold out well before this season started so there is a need for increased capacity already.

Some might like. It's going up around one hundred quid.

We will have 3 newly promoted clubs next season so straight away life should be easier for SAFC. So long as the club is in competent hands with sound governance then I honestly think we'll be in Premier League for foreseeable future. As others have noted, that lends itself to the club being more attractive to commercial sponsors and provides greater certainly of success for any plans to expand capacity, both commercial and non commercial.
I have every confidence you are right but the second season in my book will potent our success for years to come ....Lose your manager, lose three of your best players and dont replace them with the same quality or better would cause any club to struggle.....Its very hard for even clubs with loads of money to get the right fit of manager (easy for them to hire the best on paper but it dont always work out)

The whole group has done a magnificent job this season recruiting and integrating 14 new players and getting them to play a system that works but most importantly getting them invested in the project.

In truth RLB has done a magnificent job and i hope it continues for years to come and i hope to be surprised 9(in a good way)by this January window!

It would be near impossible to start building this summer but i would hope of news for the year after! In truth it would set the positivity meter to eleven and that can only be a good thin for the club and the city!

We will outgrow the manager or he will outgrow us

It’s normal - he’s 50 and will be ambitious

Very true but at a guess the latter might be more likely but i just hope he stays long enough to get us established and can cope with his loss.It would be great if we were at a stage like many topish teams in the prem who get a dodgy manager or two and a less than stellar group of players but the club still never looks like getting relegated! That would be bliss!
