Craft Beer

Queens Head is best for craft within walking distance of KGX. I really like King Charles I for an old school boozer with good cask.

Bloomsbury there's not a great deal in terms of craft. Craft Beer Co down there is good.

Angel itself and Upper Street are dominated by chain stuff but there's plenty good places off the side streets. Down the bottom end the Wenlock Arms and the Earl of Essex are great. The Three Johns is okay as well. Further up you've got the Compton Arms which is also very good, and the Pocket pretty much opposite.

If you keep going up to Highbury Corner there's Hammerton brewery's bar and also The Lamb. I wouldn't really recommend any other pub in that stretch as they're mostly generic and overpriced. I have tried virtually all of them over the years...
Discovered this place a couple of years ago, it’s superb.

I had three beers on Saturday night.

The first, I finished off me keg of Spaten. Enough to fill me tankard which is probably a bit shy of 500ml.

The second was a can of Depredator Double IPA.

And then I had a bottle of San Miguel.

Stinking fuckin' headache on Sunday morning and couldn't get outta bed.

I blame the Depredator, coming in at 7.5%.

I had an espresso martini stout called 'Gravediggers Biscuits' gifted to me the other day. Was really enjoyable and didn't taste like an 8.4% beer

In Head of Steam in Liverpool. 5 stouts on. 2 different cherry, an orange & a plum. Then Guinness. The useless fucks.

I lied. I did find a nitro stout. Wasn’t much to shout about like

The Vaux one is cracking. Might have another one later, but also want a very early night.

Just opened my first one of these.

I saw some of them too but I’m limping to the next payday and couldn’t really justify it. Any good?

not really a craft beer officianado but got a few cans of ales for my birthday a couple of weeks back. just had a can of pagan queen from the firebrick brewery which was very nice. on with a can of flat out ipa from the anarchy brew co. which is far too fizzy. going to switch back to bottles of timothy taylor landlord when this is gone.

Onto 742 unique beers now. Probably reach 750 by Saturday night if I make an effort to try something new tonight at the FireStation then out in the town tomorrow, starting in the Keel Tavern I think.

I know this is child’s play compared to some of you lot, but it’s still a nice round number approaching.
